submit an event
The lyvegyde team is always gatherering information about events that we think look interesting. We also depend on our users to submit other events that we may have missed. Finally, we encourage event organizers to submit their events.
Our goal is to be a guide to interesting live events on the Internet.
Below are many of the types of events that we include on our site:
major sporting events (such as games from national league sports and sports championships, playoffs, tournaments)
ceremonies (such as awards ceremonies and memorial ceremonies)
premieres (such as book release parties and red-carpet movie premiere coverage)
concerts (such as festivals, concerts, and music programs featuring live performances of well-known or up-and-coming artists)
interviews and Q&A sessions (such as radio interviews with best-selling authors and text-only, webchat Q&As with experts on a particular topic)
news events (such as court proceedings from a case with national interest or a press conference related to a national news event)
auctions (such as an auction of rare artwork or a car auction of collectible cars)
government hearings and meetings (such as meetings or hearings covering topics of national interest)
speeches and discussions (such as a round-table discussion with business leaders or an art historian at a museum's annual speaker series)
special occasion events (such as fireworks on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. or the launch of a space shuttle)
miscellaneous (such as a state university's homecoming ceremony or an informational seminar regarding employment opportunities at a well-known nonprofit)
Examples of events that we are not able to accept due to the large number of similar events include: weekly church services, highly technical training webcast aimed at selling or supporting a product, webcast of a nightly news program, streaming audio from a radio talk show without a special guest, local elementary school PTA monthly meeting, etc.
Similarly, due to the large number of personal webcasts, unfortunately, we are not able to accept listings such as streaming video from a dorm room or streaming video from a cell phone.
Here are some additional guidelines:
The event will be happening LIVE, it is not an archived video of a live event or a premiere of a video that was previously recorded.
Events should be free.
We prefer events that do not require registration, but we will try to indicate if registration is required if we know about it.
We love interactive events where viewers can submit questions.
No adult or otherwise explicit content - our website is open to all ages.
The event does not have to be a video, we are also open to screenshot webinars, text-only webchat Q&A sessions, live internet radio, and other types of similar events, as long as they fit the guidelines above.
We only require an event's website URL. The event submission form also has spaces to include optional, additional information such as event description and date and time. If this form does not provide enough options for you when you are submitting your event, please feel free to submit additional details using the contact us link.
Additionally, you may submit your email address so that we can contact you if we have any questions regarding the event. If you have a lyvegyde account, sign in prior to submitting your event, so that it will be saved to your "my submitted" tab.
Your event will be submitted to the lyvegyde team, who will review the event before it is posted to the website. We will review your event as quickly as possible, and will post the event if it fits our criteria. We would love to include your event, so please review below the types of events that we accept.
We may make some editorial changes to your event submission. Also, make sure that you do not submit material copied directly from another website, as it may be protected by copyrights.
