The Millennium Stage at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. presents the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) Youth Fellows performing a selection of classical works. This program began 27 years ago to give high school musicians the chance to study with the NSO in order to pursue orchestral music as a career. The program, which is available by audition only to students in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, is a full-scholarship program, with priority given to students entering 10th grade.

The Millennium Stage at The Kennedy Center offers free daily performances. The program includes a range of art forms, with performing artists and groups from all 50 states as well as an Artist-in-Residence program with artists performing several evenings in a month.

The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. opened in 1971. The center makes every effort to fulfill President Kennedy's vision to producing and presenting a wide array of theater and musicals, dance and ballet, orchestral, chamber, jazz, popular, and folk music, and multi-media performances.
