Closing ceremony of the Paralympic Games, held in Beijing, China. The 2008 Summer Paralympic Games were held from September 6 to September 17. This is the 13th Paralympics Games, with over 4,200 athletes from 148 countries participating.

In the Paralympics, athletes with similar disabilities compete against each other, following the sport's rules.
