The University of Illinois at Springfield holds the 2009 John Holtz Memorial Lecture on the topic of Prisoners of Conscience in the Modern Era. Professor of History Emeritus Cullom Davis will speak. The lecture will discuss prisoners of conscience such as Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi who has been under house arrest in Myanmar.
