The Cato Institute in Washington, D.C. presents an exploration of one of the Supreme Court's most well-known and controversial rulings by major participants in the case. In the 3-year old case (Kelo v. City of New London), the Supreme Court ruled that Susette Kelo's little pink house in New London, CT, along with her neighbors' homes, could be taken by the government and developed by a private developer in hopes of creating more taxes or jobs.

The new book Little Pink Houses describes Susette Kelo's struggle to save her home while Claire Gaudiani tried to take it for private development. Claire Gaudiani was a college president and head of the New London Development Corporation. Susette Kelo faced enormous struggles against the City of New London and her case gained a national following and encouraged other states to change their own laws.

This forum will include the following speakers:

- Jeff Benedict - author of Little Pink Houses

- Susette Kelo - plaintiff in Kelo v. City of New London case

- Scott Bullock - Institute for Justice senior attorney who argued Kelo v. City of New London before the Supreme Courg

- moderator - Roger Pilon - founder and director of the Cato Institute's Center for Constitutional Studies.
