November 11, 2008 – For Veterans Day, we have links to several ceremonies (all times in ET): at 11:00 there is an observance ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, at 11:30 there is a rededication ceremony of the Intrepid aircraft carrier in NY, and at 1:00 there is a memorial ceremony at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C.

November 6, 2008 – Apparently I am really missing out by not watching the show Lost. I have never even seen a single episode, but it is everywhere I turn. On Monday, we have a link to a concert by the band Previously on Lost that performs songs recapping the episodes. Then, next Friday, the Washington Post is hosting a book group discussion related to the show. I guess that I should check out the show!

October 6, 2008 – In just a few hours, Katy Perry will be hosting the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) and Perez Hilton will provide special web coverage. I’m hoping that The Cure win the Headliner award! And in case you missed it, they just released their new album 4:13 Dream on October 28.

November 5, 2008 – For any other breakdancing fans out there, Red Bull presents its BC One competition from Paris today at 2:00 pm ET. I just think that these guys are amazing!!
UPDATE – The Red Bull/Freecaster servers are overloaded for this webcast because it is so popular, but keep checking the site! I also added an alternative link that may work better. I was able to tune in after a few minutes and it is just awesome!!

October 31, 2008 - Yesterday we implemented a new feature to make it easier to find events. We added subheadings such as “live,” “starting soon,” “future,” and “recent” to search results, category listings, the most anticipated tab, and the my favorites tab for users. We will keep adding new features in the future!

October 31, 2008 - Happy Halloween! Fall is such a great time of year to be outside, enjoying the weather. Check out the NYC ING Marathon webcast this Sunday. I am amazed by the dedication that it takes to run 26.2 miles. I on the other hand will be running in a 5k race this weekend, just 3.1 miles…oh well, maybe one day I’ll make it that far!
